There's a wonderful quote in Henry V about where the boundaries of sin's ownership begin; 'So, if a son that is by his father sent about merchandise do sinfully miscarry upon the sea, the imputation of his wickedness by your rule, should be imposed upon his father that sent him?' - . People make their own choices and who omars father is should not be his moral burden, even though it shall be for generations.
